CANCUN
CANCUN's Hotel Zone offers various "big" name entertainment locations including, Hard Rock Cafe, Dady night club, Coco Bongo, Señor Frogs, BullDog Cafe, and the CITY, along with smaller venues. Many tourists mistakenly call this area "Downtown", while it is in fact well inside the Hotel Zone. Downtown Cancún offers a more cultural aspect, there are cuban/salsa type bars/restaurants, especially along Yaxchilan Ave, which hosts several bars and discos.

PLAYA DEL  CARMEN

Playa del Carmen is a city on the coast of the Caribbean Sea in the north east of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, it has beautiful beaches, shores, and waters. Originally a small fishing town, tourism to Playa del Carmen began with the passenger ferry service to Cozumel, an island across the Cozumel Channel and world-famous scuba diving destination. While passing through, many people realized that it was a nice place to relax away from the crowds of Cancún but with the same quality beaches and turquoise waters. Perhaps just as impressive as Cozumel, Playa del Carmen's coast offers good scuba diving opportunities, as well as cenote diving for the more adventurous.

TULUM

Tulum is the site of a Pre-Columbian Maya walled city serving as a major port for Cobá. The ruins are located on 39-ft (12-m) cliffs, along the east coast of the Yucatán Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea in the state of Quintana Roo, Mexico. One of the best-preserved coastal Maya sites, Tulum is today a popular site for tourists.

ZONA ARQUEOLOGICA MAYA

There are some (relatively) small Mayan vestiges of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization in Cancún. Ruinas El Rey are located in the Hotel Zone. El Meco, a more substantial site, is found on the mainland just outside the city limits on the road to Punta Sam.

LAGUNA NICHUPTE

On the opposite side of the island from the Caribbean Sea is the Nichupté Lagoon, which is used for boating excursions and jet-ski jungle tours. The lagoon meets the sea and hotels run along the crystal clear Caribbean sea.

KUKULCAN

In the center of Chichén Itzá is the giant Pyramid of Kukulcán. Early Spanish visitors to the city referred to the pyramid as El Castillo (The Castle). Kukulcan is the Maya supreme god, god of the four elements, a creator god and a supreme god.

CHICHEN ITZA

Chichen Itza is a large pre-Columbian archaeological site built by the Maya civilization located in the northern center of the Yucatán Peninsula, in the Yucatán state, present-day Mexico. Chichen Itza was a major regional center in the northern Maya lowlands from the Late Classic through the Terminal Classic and into the early portion of the Early Postclassic period.

COZUMEL

Cozumel is an island in the Caribbean Sea off the eastern coast of Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, opposite Playa del Carmen. Cozumel is a popular tourist destination renowned for its scuba diving. The main town on the island is San Miguel de Cozumel.

ISLA MUJERES

Isla Mujeres is the name of a small island, as well as the town on that island, a short distance off the coast of the northeast of the Yucatán Peninsula in the Caribbean Sea. The island is some 7 km long and 650 meters wide. Isla Mujeres is located close to one of many coral reefs, and the area is popular for its snorkeling and scuba diving. Isla Mujeres is also home to a population of sea turtles. There are numerous places to eat fresh seafood, as well as Maya cuisine.

XCARET

Xcaret is a Maya civilization archaeological site and an ecological park and resort located south of Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Xcaret is a Natural Park open to the public.

XEL HA

Xelha is an archaeological site of the Maya civilization from pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, located on the eastern coastline of the Yucatán Peninsula. The site of Xelha is located south of the modern township of Playa del Carmen.
